Happy Easter from The Good Samaritan Clinic

Springtime and Easter both signify hope and change. While springtime gives us glimpses of greener grass and sunnier days, Easter provides us with a season of spiritual reflection and renewal, as well as hope for the future. With the current state of our world, we could all benefit from some brighter days and the promise of hope.

At The Good Samaritan Clinic, we are fortunate to be a catalyst for hope. In providing healthcare to the uninsured and underserved in our community, we get to help people both physically and emotionally. We do more than just diagnose and treat illnesses; we provide patients with a place where they feel cared for, significant and valued. Patients regularly share with us how grateful they are for the services and care they receive here.

Recently a gentleman called the clinic saying he wanted to make a donation. During the phone conversation he explained that almost two decades ago he was practically homeless and not in a good place in his life. He said he was one of the clinic’s first patients shortly after Good Sam opened in 2003.Thankfully he received the care that he needed, and in the years since, he turned his life around in a remarkable way. He called because he wanted to make a monthly donation to the clinic so that he could help others in the same way that he was helped all those years ago. This man’s story perfectly illustrates what it means to be a Good Samaritan.

In a world filled with skyrocketing gas prices, a global pandemic and way too much uncertainty, we are grateful for the opportunity to provide hope and healing right here in our local community. We get to help others thanks to the kindness and generosity of Good Samaritans such as you. During this Easter season, please take time to reflect on the blessings and hope that God has given you, and help us continue our mission of serving those in need. Thanks to you, lives are being improved and changed every day at The Good Samaritan Clinic.
